Odd but I kind of like the idea - with reservation.

My old 1966 Mustang handled like crap, and that was the 6 cylinder (better balanced) version.

Nice. The wheelbase looks a little strange, it doesn't look quite right. But pretty neat, most people probably couldn't tell the difference.

I do have a question though. When someone pulls up at a stoplight and wants you to rev what should be V8 muscle, what do you do?

The same thing you do in a Porsche, ignore them...........or wait to pass them on a twisty turn.;)

There are 302 V-8 Mustang engines in Miata's - turocharged! The logo on the hood is of Godzilla, seen only a couple of them.

When you look at the $12K cost, then add the car & V8, WHY??? I saw a few nice real stang verts at the show in the $15K range. An 80s stang would make more sence to me.

No. Uh-uh. What you want is the Mustang's 302 and tranny in the Miata. That's the ticket...

Yeah, or GM's LS1 (all aluminum). Monster Miata is the 'Godzilla' looking logo. They dropped small-block Fords into Miatas for several years. Lots of them running around. Very quick!

As the one-time owner of a '64 1/2 with 260 V8, this makes me sad.

Not completely bad I suppose, steel body and it looks pretty close to the real thing. To pull it off though you should definitely have either a turbo on your 4 or a 5.0. Still, why not just get a mustang?

Personally I'll keep the miata body on my miata.

I could understand, but you can still buy a nice "Real" vert for the same or less. Some cars that are rare, not very drivable or just plain too $$$$ to want to take a chance with in traffic I could understand (we have an unbuilt 356 Speedster kit) but a car that is still not cazy priced and more than a few around, whats the point??

Yep, miatas handle well, are reliable, and fun, but I don't get turning them into something they aren't with the body kit.

I hate it when they describe there car like that 427 one posted(which also isn't very good looking either). "You cna have a car that looks like a Ferrari eater, blah blah..." Stupid foolish... I guess I better not get started.

I hated the CGT replica description I saw on ebay a while ago. And the Cobra was NOT a Ferrari eater. They only pulled off the GT champion ship once from Ferrari, and where still beat in many famous races. The Cobra's that did it where not 427 roadsters either, but Cobra coupes.
