Problem w/ Shaun G9 girl:
Is anyone else getting strange communications from Shaun G9 girl? He just sent me an email through this BBS entitled "not a troll" w/ a strange link that appears to be a worm/virus/etc.., when I tried to open it my computer went nuts and locked up while making a lot of whirring noises, I had to force shut it down.
It is the second PM or email that I have gotten, if you are reading this Shaun I sure hope that you have an awfully good explanation for this. I'd hate to see you spend the holidays getting ass-raped in jail. Then again, maybe not. Anyone shine light on this?

He posted that he sent me two emails and not a peep. Finally told him to PM me here and got that right away.
Would not think that he is sending out a virus but could be that his computer is infected and its doing it to anyone on his address list? Joe A

OK, now I have heard from Shaun w/ a benign explanation for the link; still it made my (Mac) computer go nuts and lock up.
I assumed that it had to do with a situation that I consider pretty tame in the grand scheme of things on this board, and at any rate I prefer to communicate here w/ the light shining on all, good or bad.

There does seem to be another virus going around. I haven't got any in my personal email, but I have been getting several emails with virus attachments per day at my work address over the past week.
I basically delete anything with an unexpected attachment right away. |

I think you should talk to Shaun before you make such accusations, not that is unlawful or anything, it is just bad taste. We are suppose to be a community here.
Also, please think about this for a minute. Is Shaun really going to deliberatley send you a virus from his PC knowing his name is attached? We occassionally disagree on stuff but he certainly is no dummy and probably one of the most kind, genuine guys you'd ever meet. Anyways, please talk to Shaun. I am sure it is some big misunderstandning. Good luck with your computer woes. Oh, please don't send me any emails. I have enough problems. David |

Denis, you're going to want to check your Mac as the problem wasn't with the link I sent. Joe got the same thing as you (in PM), a few others in email, no problems with them and the URL. As I said, I also use a Mac but with Camino, no issues, just updated and ran Norton, no viruses.

Shaun called me up late one night while I was on the road. I wanted to talk dirty but he just wanted to gab. I wish he would send me a virus, at least it would be a little attention I so desparately crave! Instead, nothing...luv'm n leave'm...

And hey, I'm still waiting for my steak dinner buddy! I'm still looking forward to coming to TX to pitch the Fall 06 Collection to Von Maur's. We'll have a great time, I promise. What do you think of our signature piece... a little nicer than T's. Getting quotes U.S., India, China now. ![]()

Shaun - I swear the next time i'm in Bean Town! You let me know when your gonna be in the Big D.
BTW - the tops look nice, my guess is that China will come in at 80% lower than the US and 20% lower than any Paki fac.

Shaun has informed me that the file was a harmless sound file, so if that is the case I guess that there was no cause for alarm. I can paste the link here if anyone wants to check it out, would there be any (potential) harm to anyone's window box from that?
(I am not real tech-savvy). ![]()
