Yes but can they go around a corner fast as well? Could care less about going fast in a straight line...

So, what are the other 9? Where does the Z-06 fit into the scale?
The Ford GT?

Check the link. It's a slide show with all 10. Yes, the Z-06 and Ford GT are there...

Am overseas and with a poor internet connection.

Now, I did click on the link and my comment is... Yes but can they go around a corner fast as well? Could care less about going fast in a straight line...

Now you get to answer my question! The Caddy STS, Dodge 300c and other crap American cars do drive very nicely in a straight line. The Viper is ok but nothing but muscle with a bit of finesse and the Corvette not much better. When will the Americans figure that adding more cubes is not a cure for building a plastic car that goes fast on the drag strip?

Joe,

I used to agree w/ you but the way the AZ roads are, if you commute in the Valley, there's a lot to be said for going fast in a straight line!

The GT40 and Saleen S7R are a good match for the Carrera GT. Unlike the Carrera GT, though, the S7R actually dishes it out on the tracks of Europe and US.

You can pretty much paraphrase Car and Driver as saying the CTS-V was good on the track. An M5 was better, but not $20k better.

And all I have to say is that at least the Vette and Viper guys actually try and race their car with factory support....Et tu, Porsche? Ferrari?

I was at a Porsche dealership grand opening Friday night and got talking with the Parts Manager. I asked him if Porsche ever planned on offering support to the grassroots racers like Mazda does with its Mazdaspeed program. Because I race my RX-7 I am entitled to 50%+ off on parts for my car from Mazda. He gave a long non-answer that did not make sense. He indicated Champion Racing gets support but they are a huge team with a huge budget. I asked in the small guy gets a break and here gave another non-answer that lost me.

Its sad that so many are out there racing Porsches at a grassroots level and they get no support from the factory.

Anyone else think the SSC Ultimate Aero looks like a total lambo rip off?
