Cindy's Thanksgiving Expenses

Cindy's Thanksgiving Expenses

1. Airfare to Crawford, Tx. $200.00

2. Cindys memorial stone $10.00

3. Buffet for her TOPS friends $125,000.00

4. Book signing attendees & photos! PRICELESS!!

Mother Sheehan™s Book Signing

Sometimes several pictures are worth several thousand words:

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan waits for people to show up at her book signing near President Bush™s ranch on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 in Crawford, Texas.

Frankly I™m amazed the DNC/APallowed these photos to see the light of day.

Usually their photogs do their (unlevel) best to angle their cameras and crop their pictures to make Mother Sheehan always appear to be at the center of a worshipful swarm.

I would love to hear the anti-war crowd try to explain that this is not a setup. Funny that she does not look so gung ho when the public is not around to provide an audience.

That is so sad. I don't get involved in politics on this board for several reasons so I won't comment on that.
I feel for her as a parent who is trying to hold on to the last bits of her son because once the hype goes away, she will have to deal with the loss. THAT is the sad part of her story.

Not quite Kach. There are thousands of Gold Star Families who privately accept and endure their loss with dignity, honor and respect. Mrs. Sheehan has done none of these.

Just another attempt to cash-in on her son's sacrifice.

Not all Gold Star families, of course. Just the ones that dare disagree with the Bush/Cheney administration.

Oh yea, those pics mean nothing without some reporting to go along with them. They could mean that no one showed. They could mean that someone snapped a few pics before the event. But hey, never pass up the opportunity for a good smear, truthful or not.

Smear is the only thing this administration is actually good at. If they were 1/10 as good at fighting the enemy as they are at taking down domestic critics, the mission really would have been accomplished.

At least she had plenty of helium balloons to inhale when she got bored.

"Reporting" as with CNN and the infamous "X"? "Smear" as in CBS and "Rathergate"? "Taking down domestic critics" as in Rep. Murtha? Get some perspective there, Rodeo. Mrs. Sheehan has humiliated herself and defiled the memory of her son. Who is the "smearer" here, again?

You just looked at photos of the queen of smear.

As far as Gold Star families, it is understandable that some (although few) might resent the war and the administration. That has happened in every war the US has been involved in. Few have shamed/diminished their son's sacrifice as Sheehan has...and even fewer have profited from it. Sheehan has made it into a cottage industry. I am glad her book is doing poorly. I imagine things will pick up though. The libs can use it as a new vehicle to provide her payoff....like the Clinton's books.

From what I uinderstand there was a camp or Bush supporters nearby....low attendance there as well. Most people from both sides were fighting tooth and nail to get into the local Wallmart at 5 in the morning.

There are few other reasons to have sharpee pens nearby, except for a signing.

Also, the balloons look full.

My guess is the books haven't arrived. Either she's arrived early at her own event, or the books and handlers are delayed.

As to why no one is there, again maybe it's because she's early, or...

...no one cares.
