Help with trim falling off!
 

Can someone help with some type of liquid that I can apply to the door trim of my 4runner?
Everytime I open the door in the winter the rubber trim is frozen to the door and gets pulled off.
WD40? Wax?
I'm trying to sell the truck and it's not a good way to start a show of the vehicle.

Are you trying to glue the trim to the truck, or keep the ice from sticking?

3m trim adhesive for the first, dunno about the latter. Maybe keep it inside until you sell it.

It has to be your fault. Trim pieces don't fall off Toyotas.

Too cold outside for adhesive.
I'm just trying to keep the trim from sticking (freezing) to the door so it doesn't get pulled off.
To keep it inside I'd have to put my 911 outside.

It is very strange. Both sides. Maybe no glue at the factory. Didn't do it for the first couple of years. It's a piss off though. I guess I should have glued it in the summer. It was on my list.

Put the toyo in the garage for a few hours, fix the trim, the put it back outside.

Or move somewhere warmer!

If it's not clear.
It's the rubber moulding that runs from the widshield along the top of the doors and down the back of the passenger door.
By the way. Anyone want to buy a 98 4runner cheap! Price goes up when temp goes above freezing.

I was just joking the other day about putting it on my snow shovel.

It works to keep snow off of your shovel and Ice off of your trim.

Not that I like Pam on my trim....and there's a bunch of inappropriate jokes there somewhere...
