The 1000th Post

Here it is . . . my 1000th post on Pelican.

I had hoped I could come up with something brilliant. Or something profound. Or at the very least something funny. But no. This it it. Just another crap post in OT that few will read & nobody will post to. I missed my 911th opportunity months ago. I have been reading the forum since my last post on Friday, eagerly searching for a place to put it. Maybe something meaningful or helpful or a compliment is always good. You know: “Great color. Pink really makes that car ” or “turn this & that comes out really easy”.

I guess I could have started a warm seasonal greeting & wish for peace on earth. Or a heartfelt thanks to the bonding of kindred souls through the vehicle of this forum & the community of the Porsche marque in the face of such diversity.

Nope.

Whew. Now I can finally shed myself of my 1000th post complex & move on . . .

Ian

Don't worry, after a while you don't even notice how many posts you have.

Congrats, I guess !

Personally I wish I had less posts. My count is ridiculously high relative to the quality contained in each post. Can´t help it though, this place is too rewarding being a part of.

For me its also a formidable training camp in terms of improving my less than adequate English language.

I was going to do a special post for my 1978th post. (A few days ago.) I blew past it without remembering.

Why 1978? That's the year I was born.

I read it, Ian. And I posted to it. Just trying to make you feel better

It's cold (and salty) here in the frozen Tundra of the north, and us winter-beater-driving folks are in the grips of air-cooled-withdrawal.

Aircooled withdrawal?? It's just a different kind of aircooled in the winter! I was plenty aircooled by the -20C this morning. I got an ice cream headache walking from my car to the office.

Well, that was with windchill. It helps with impressive numbers

Oh, well, then, ya sissy!

See Ian, your post turned into a meaningful discussion. Canadians *****ing about winter weather. Oh wait...

(Funny, I've noticed that between May and November most of my posts are in the tech forum, and from Dec. to April, they're mostly in OT!)

Thanks all.

Yes, winter came fast & furious & so all of us northern cave dwellers are getting restless. Can't you tell? Can you image our mental state in February?

Oh well, back to work (or actually planning my road trip in Cuba for my sons wedding in April . . .)

Ian
