You have some great flicks there! "Shop smart! Shop S-Mart!" I need to go rent that movie. I would add Boondock Saints. Maybe Spies Like Us, without a doubt The Jerk. Suicide Kings, The Usual Suspects, The Game.

Very Bad Things - Totally wrong movie
American Beauty - Made me a huge fan of Kevin Spacey
The Crow - wacky knowing Brandon Lee was killed making it.
Raiders of the Lost Ark - The Last Crusade - Connery was awesome.
From Dusk to Dawn - I hated George Clooney until this movie.

Anything by Robert Rodriguez and anything by Quentin Tarantino.

Rodriguez films:

my wife doesn't understand he value of "B" movies in pop culture....Army of darkness is awesome...("this here is a remington...S mart's finest....you can call it my BOOMSTICK") you just have to love these things..."ever seen a grown man naked?"(airplane) They just don't make movies in this genre anymore..... I have most of Tarrantino's movies, I love his films..Of course being a car guy I have all the Halicki films and various others, (vanishing point is cool)

techweenie 12-14-2005 10:46 AM

2 Days in the Valley (Terry Hatcher/Charlize Theron catsuit catfight!)
American Splendor
Barton Fink (not for anyone who doesn't know what writer's block is)
The Big Lebowski (psychedelic noir)
Blade Runner
Blood Simple (second best 'first film' ever)
Blow
Blue/White/Red trilogy
Bound (Gina Gershon... Meg Tilly... leather...)
Boy and his Dog (classic must-have)
Buckaroo Banzai (fringe-y cult wannabee)
Cat People (82)
Clockwork Orange
Dark City (great stuff)
Dark Star (see where Alien came from!)
Das Boot
Disco Pigs
Donnie Darko (best 'first film' since Citzen Kane)
Earth Girls are Easy
Eyes Wide Shut
Fight Club (must-have)
Fifth Element
Forbidden Planet (there's a reason they haven't remade this)
Ghost in the Shell (my fave anime)
Invaders from Mars (50s)
Lost Highway
The Man Who Wasn't There (underrated Coen)
Mars Attacks
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Motorama (another wannabee cult classic)
Mulholland Dr (Naomi!)
Pi ('nother great 'first film')
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Repo Man (the life of a repo man is intense)
Rumble Fish
The Rutles (you have to see it once)
Sin City (eye candy)
They Live (trashy fun)
Zachariah (Siddhartha in the wild West with electric guitars!)

and nearly 100 other, more mainstream choices...

Worth seeing, if not owning:

Forbidden Zone

I said that to my wife once (sounding like Joe Piscipo in Johnny Dangerously)...oh wait, that was death ....(thank god) :D Starship troopers is a cool one....To beat the bug, we must know the bug....Fleet doe the flyin', Mi does the dyin'

techweenie 12-14-2005 12:21 PM

Starship Troopers has some very funny/cool themes about government/military media control that most people seem to miss. But it's interesting how the "would you like to know more" interactive media interface has been picked up by Discovery channel.

In Until the End of the World, software programs have animated avatars that are still ahead of their time.

craigster59 12-14-2005 12:27 PM

Fargo, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Scarface, Heat, Detroit Rock City, Lawnmower Man

Swingers, Made. This could be a huge list.

kycarguy 935 12-14-2005 11:21 PM

I collect the Twilight Zone Episodes. Have about 145 of the 156 episodes. I know these mostly are 30 minutes with a few hour shows but thought I would include them.
