Alright! What the hell will or did you do at the office Xmas party?

Ours will be in a Italian restaurant in West L.A. Our group can sometimes be so dull, I know I'll be sneaking out for shots and smokes...

RSlater and his lady friend Wheels (aka: Vanessa) stopped by the house before the party for a couple of rounds of jumbo martini's.

Hit the party fashionably late. Quickly extinguish the company supplied two drink tickets, swipe unattended drink tickets, raid the buffet and get the hell outa there before the DJ and dancing started.

You ever seen a couple of hundred aerospace engineers trying to dance? Neither have I.

Let's see. My department is too big for anyplace in town to host, alcohol is not allowed at company functions, and we're really trying to manage expenses.

Bottom line: no Christmas party. Same as every year.

our company really likes to make the party kid friendly

so they really cracked down on the two drink limit this year
luckily there is a bar across the street.

but the Santa and presents are a big hit every year.

never any embarrassing stories the next day

That's the perfect plan. Perfect.

I work for an international engineering and project management firm. At the party, I was looking for the table full of young, hot, female engineers. Guess what? I got drunk and full, and left. Went to a karaoke bar where they were having a lot of fun.

Good luck on that one.

I now have indisputable proof that you are tied up in the world of the hypothetical.

Hmmm, started drinking at 4pm before the party at 8. All told drank about 9 pints of beer and 7 martinis. Sure tastes good when free.

Clearly, I was hammered. Got jiggy on the dance floor (scary even when I'm sober) with a coworker, she was well-plastered also. Was rescued by friends before heading home with her (would have been a major work problem if I had) and headed to another bar when the open bar closed at our party. Still haven't lived it down.

Last couple years I either RSVP in the negative or make a very brief and perfunctory showing before leaving .

My wifes was at a hotel in downtown Seattle last weekend. Got to go down early, see some friends, stop by John Walkers, have some drinks and time with wife (sans our daughter). The party had decent food and an open bar. Sat at a table with two hilarious lesbians and made a beeline back to the room as soon as the dancing karioke started.

My "office " christmas party is tommorow nite at a restaurant. Dont really work in an office per say, I have my own private office with my partner, just me and her. The rest are from different depts other buildings. only about 20 people.
Few good party people are going. Most of the others I could do without.
Last yrs was pretty good, I think. I woke up with the room spinning so i must have had a good time!!
