LOL! At my previous job, there was a woman in the office next door who I called "the Chipmunk." Sometimes it was "That F*****G CHIPMUNK!" She spent about 6 hours of every work day making social calls on her cell phone.

She had a high, squeaky, loud voice that penetrated the boundaries of all space and time, gnawing into one's head in the manner of an ultrasonic toothbrush applied directly to the gray matter of the brain.

I asked her a couple times to keep it down. It turned out the solution to that problem (and others) was just to get a different job.

"CORP..orate accounts payable, Armina speaking...JUST a moment"

Easy now, just step out for a Labatts and count to ten.

I have a lady who sits diagonal from me who says "otay" instead of "okay" on the phone. Drives me nuts!

"I was told I could listen to the radio at a reasonable level between 9:00 and 11:00"

Yep, had the hunger-grumps. Went out for a smoked meat on rye... feel better now. Although, they are still some friggen loud.

Hip-hop. I HATE hip-hop. All day long...

My female co-worker (who was fired 6 months ago for harassment) used to talk to herself throughout the day. All the time. Since we worked together on many projects and day to day work, she would yell over the cubicle walls when she needed something from me.

Often, when I had someone in my office working with me, we could hear her talking to herself. And during her monologue, she would ask me a question - and I would answer. Those sitting next to me were baffled at how I knew when she was talking to herself vs. talking to me. Like computer network traffic, I learned when I could drop packets and when I needed to cache them! :D

But (thankfully) she's gone now...
