OT....MP3 for the compleat idjut....can ya help THIS idjut out?

OK...the kids just got some MP3 players....I assume that you can jin a subscrition service, download music to your computer, THEN to the MP3 units....

Is it THAT simple? What am I missing, what should I avoid?

What kind of MP3 players?

Joe Bob 12-26-2005 10:23 AM

Craig, plays WMA/DRM

If they play WMA/DRM files it's technically not an mp3 player.

mp3 and wma are file formats.

For a service try napster.com

Houston we have lift off.....ripped 20 CDs onto my hard drive and the kids have like 50+ songs on a tiny little thang that runs off of a AAA battery......

Ended up trashing RealPlayer and downloaded the Windows Series 10 player....excellent.

Thanks for the help.

Napster only works with Napster players. Walmart.com has the cheapest downloads, but they do have artist restrictions.

If you really have MP3 players, you can get WMA to MP3 conversion software. Or you can make a CD and then rip to MP3.

there's always Apple's iTunes...I think they are mp3 based but I'm not sure.
