Quick MS Word question "Easy I'm sure" Thanks,
Sorry to post this,,,,, yes I should know but just forgot how.....
I'm typing in MS word doc format and everytime I type the line items keep delete..... Example: good deal th Porsche If if was typing "good deal then guys" instead of Porsche just moving over to the right it gets automatically deletes...... I thought it was in auto format but I can seem to remember... Thanks for any quick reply..... I'm brain farting right now..... Many thanks in advance... -Eli SmileWavy |
The only time I have ran into a similiar problem but it was a hardware issue. When did the problem start? I would first try to restore the software and see if this corrects the situation.

I don't think so.... This happened to me once before and it was a simple one, two fix..... Can't remember now.... :(

Try the insert key on the keyboard...

overtype is on, look in the bottom row in the word dislplay where the page number and other format numbers are. In that row there are 4 words in light type, right now the one that says OVR is probably dark black instead of gray, click on it to disabel overtype

I guess I need a refresher course..... Last MS class I took was in 1998.
Thanks again guys for your suggestions, -Eli |
and you thought you felt silly. a while back, suddenly every time I hit backspace, instead of individual letters it would delete whole words and sentences at a time! I accidentally hit an Alt-Backspace combination. took me a few frustrating minutes to figure that one out

So can someone tell me how to get the "address bar" back when I have the folders open under My Documents? I have an XP. Thanks in advance.
|
Try View -> Toolbars -> Make sure Address bar is checked.
Dave |
I did and it is checked...
|
I got it to work... all is well.
|
Try View -> Toolbars -> Customize... Look for 'Reset'. I'm working on Win2K... Don't have XP around.
Dave |
Thanks ~ I figured out what was wrong...
