So I've Noticed...
It seems that most people on this board also like Ferraris. I never see any mention of Lamborghinis. Why is that?
|
Harder to spell...
|
Ferraris have never appealed to me at all. I'd much rather have a Lambo - if I could afford either one!
I saw a Gallardo and Murcielago parked next to each other outside the big hotel in Monaco when we were there on vacation. Beautiful cars. That's living. I didn't even want to pay the $20 to go inside and look at the gaming floor. |
I really don't like either one. They are both too expensive to really drive. They both seem to be put together intentionally to stifle owner maintenance. They both cost too much to maintain and insure.
Ferrari at least has a racing heritage. Lamborghini has...farm tractors. |
Saw one of the Gallardos at a Trackmasters even at Watkins Glen. In street trim (maybe some track rubber) this thing was pretty fast and looked good!
Ferraris are awesome, if they were reliable and useable, they might be worth the money. |
I think the Miura is among the most beautful cars ever produced.
|
Neither car really does anything for me. I'll take a Detomaso Pantera over both cars any day
|
Love the look of Ferrari, Lambo's, Aston but I'm as likely to ever own one of those as get a date with a supermodel.
:D |
It's kind of funny how many "supercars" are Ford-based. The Detomaso Pantera and the Panoz Esperante come to mind, but I'm sure there are more.
|

I think that pretty much sums up my rational for liking Ferrari and not lambos. Plus I think F-Cars look better, lambo's have always been to tacky. |
Somebody has a yellow Lamdo devil in our town. Must be a Dallas Mav or a Dallas Star. I can never get close enough to see who is driving it. The car looks very nice and it never seems to get out of 1st gear!
|
I know there is a yellow Miura and a purple Countach here in town. The only Ferrari I recall seeing repeatedly is some four-seat model that is probably from the 80's.
|
we have a lambo dealer here in san fran. i walked by it yesterday, and some technician was putting on just about the coolest looking car cover on it. it was stretched on, and looked like it was made like a scuba suit. the car looked soooo sexy. the technician said some lady bought it for her hubby. he may have been pulling my chain.
me i like ferrari, lambo, and aston martins. when my friends ask me what would be the first vehicle i buy if/when i win the lotto. i answer, "a brand new flat bed tow truck". that way i can drive around buying and picking up new cars. |
Okay boys a little history lesson, Lambo has no racing history?
Two words... Bird cage. http://www.sportscarmarket.com/profiles/1998/October/Etceterini/ and that's just a taste... |
There's a new Lamborghini dealership being built just up the road from me. I will be stopping by to take a look. I've always liked both Ferrari and Lamborghini cars but I think both are "look at me cars" while Porsche has always been a personal car to me.

Lambo's are cool, I also think the Miura is a beautiful car like the GT40, 917, 250GTO, etc....
I think the main difference is that there are many more models of Ferrari and several of them are within reach of your average mortal as opposed to the Lamborghini which has for years only made 1 model and that model has been pretty cost prohibitive. |
I think there are the BMW crowd, Porsche crowd, the wealthy ones that can afford Ferrari crowd, My god I'm rich I need a Lamborghini few. I couldn't see my self as a millionaire without a Lamborghini.
|
IMO the new Lamborghini's are Fugly!

Lambo (other than the Miura) will always be second fiddle in my book. They do nothing for me. |
