We need to make sure someone is to blame.
for the leaks. for the discovery of the leaks. for publishing the leaks. for it costing so much to investigate the leaks. for not noticing the reason for the leaks. for being so blase' about the leaks. for not including the leaks investigation in the latest episode of "CSI New York" There is so much to be responsible for, how is any citizen to know who is really to blame? We need to assign blame in order to promote an agenda. My head hurts. It's all Bush's fault if you believe the agenda people.

being how the NY Times is a Dem Party opinion leader I was a bit surprised when the news came out this am. I think Bush's assertion that it damaged national security had something to do with it.

ACLU responds to leak probe:
NEW YORK - The American Civil Liberties Union today sharply criticized a Justice Department investigation into the disclosure of an illegal National Security Agency domestic eavesdropping operation approved by President George W. Bush. In a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales as well as two full-page advertisements in the New York Times, the ACLU has called for the appointment of a special counsel to determine whether President Bush violated federal wiretapping laws by authorizing illegal surveillance of domestic targets. The following statement can be attributed to ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero: "President Bush broke the law and lied to the American people when he unilaterally authorized secret wiretaps of U.S. citizens. But rather than focus on this constitutional crisis, Attorney General Gonzales is cracking down on critics of his friend and boss. Our nation is strengthened, not weakened, by those whistleblowers who are courageous enough to speak out on violations of the law." American Communist/terrorist Liberties Union Wow, sounds like fastpat is writing for the ACLU! |

"To avoid further charges of cronyism, Attorney General Gonzales should call off the investigation. Better yet, Mr. Gonzales ought to fulfill his own oath of office and appoint a special counsel to determine whether federal laws were violated." Pretty much sums up the current situation. |

It is a lie, onramp. Not only is it a lie but it is loaded with out of place loaded terms like "unilateral". The usage of such terms is obviously intended to evoke the emotional hate that the left has worked so hard to infuse in the word. Unilateral has come to be a self expanding word that cues into a whole series of leftist lies. "Cronyism" is another loaded valueless term they use, to whip up their minions.
The ACLU's intent, as it has always been, is to divide the nation. They are a communist front who have expanded their franchise to include Islamofascists and other ideologies that have anything but America's best interest in mind. |

My God Mul, do you really believe that the ACLU is an "Islamofascists Front"? You're right 'round the bend my friend; I can no longer seriously read your posts.

Well, I never took him too seriously, but I read his posts in an attempt to understand the points of view of the other half of the nation that I don't happen to share.
I'm now of the opinion that very few share his points of view and am now not interested in what he has to say. Plus, he's a ******** loon.

The call for a special prosecutor is ng.
The ACLU is fuc!'d up big time. The NY Times may get trashed again. Makes me wonder how anyone can take them seriously? Every anti-terror move the administration makes the NYT tries to discredit it. I don't think they or other Bush haters believe that he is the President? Trying to ask a Bush hater to logically explain their beliefs around NYC metro makes them red in the face for some reason. The smarter they think they are the redder they get. It's such a consistant response that I'm already laughing before they peak. I guess everyone has to believe in something.
