We need a sarcarm indicator!
In a recent discussion with CC, it has become brutally obvious that we are desperately in need of some sort of indicator that we are being sarcastic. The smileys don't do it for me..
Any suggestions? NPR, years ago, had an English professor on who suggested several new punctuation marks, beyond the normal "?" "!" and "." Delta Sark - for sarcasm Love dust - Little stars all around the words to indicate romance/love/lust between the speaker and recipient. There were others, but it was a long time ago (10 years?). Maybe a "<>" before and after the remark to indicate sarcasm? <sr> at the end? Other suggestions? |
Are you being sarcastic?

Too bad the point went way over your head.
Guess you missed it...... No one else is calling for any such thing....the only person left would be YOU. |
I don`t mean to be sarcastic, but what you need is a sarcasm indicator, not a sarcarm indicator...

Wayne: remind yourself to add the Title to the Spell check function.
Note to self: go get more coffee |
When I asked if red-beard was being sarcastic, it was I that was being sarcastic. Now, I'm being serious. Later, I may try funny. Thankfully, we have an indicator for that :)

Great idea Einstein!

Don't try funny Rodeo, it never works...

In my case, you'd need an indicator for when I am NOT being sarcastic.
|
Nah, roll eyes is "Jesus, what an idiot!" indicator...

Red,
This reminds of the time when I was 7 and my Dad told me that pro Wrestling was all fake. Took the fun out of it (and the horror!). Those of us with sad, meaningless lives relish in the thought that CC is getting her panties all wadded up everytime somebody trips her trigger - combine that with a few beers and a lil webporn and you gots the makin's of one fine evening. |
I need to party with _you_!
|
hmmm...wadded up panties... reminds me of my old van waaaayyyy back when.
