Skiing / Riding Season...

How have your seasons been thus far?

I got up to Mammoth a couple weeks ago... It dumped three (3) feet the week I was there.

Heading to Copper Mountain & Vail next week... Seven feet of snow in December!

In three weeks I'll be crusing up to Tahoe... Heavenly, Northstar, & Squaw.

Share the stoke !!

Two trips on the books for Big Sky, MT and one trip to the Black Hills. Got new skis for me and the wife this year.

I'll be at Vail the 9th and 10th of Jan. Use to live there....so it'll be nice to be local again.

You ain't kidding...

Last year I was in 'rado with my buddies... one keg... four dudes... three nights... mission accomplished.

With all the beer consumption I was having a REALLY hard time on the upper mountain. I literally had to unstrap my ride and crawl to a lower altitude.

We'll get a keg again this year... but I'll be rocking a 100oz camelbak for sure!

(always wanted to use this smiley...)

Bring chains... even if you rock a four by four with snow tires.

On my way up to mammoth (with my more than snow capable ford bronco) I was stopped and told by CHP that I had to have chains in my vehicle. What did this mean? 30 miles back to bishop to buy a set of $70 chains, not even cables. Receipt said, "all sales final". Faaack!

In the ten years that I've been driving myself to the mountains that was the first time I have EVER heard, seen, experienced of such a thing. Live and learn.

Damn, I just asked my wife about that! We have a Land Cruiser w/ street tires...would be 'tough' to get stuck but definitely possible (BTDT in other vehicles).

Thanks for the heads-up.
