Simple here....Yuengling Lager here. VC for the midnight hour while listening to the fireworks from first night in town.

Steak and lobster tails here at home earlier..yum.

Now I'm checking in here while I continue to work on getting a clean copy of Grand Prix off Laser disc and onto DVD. Sure is a long movie.

Not so exciting here, burgers on the George with JW Dundee's Amber Lager...followed by the "wine" tasting: Monaro Asti, Martini & Rossi Asti, Moet Necter Imperial. Mid thru the the night, have done the shots of Williams Birne (peach brandy)...now hanging til MN and finish off with CA sparkling wine (forget which, too lazy to look..Mumm something). Leaving the Makers to backup status tonight.

Jeez, You've had way too much fun... You're on the West coast. It's only 9:06 P.M. What clock are you looking at?

A '95 first growth Haut Brion earlier with the pork tenderloin...and just finished a bottle of a very nice domestic sparkling wine...better than most of the real Champagne I've had.

Now, I've been at my parents house in Dallas for the last week...clearly. If this had been a 'typical' weekend out for me, I would have been two-fisting pints of Bass with Jameson neat until I was crocked, then it would have moved on to hammering shots until I started groping random women, pissing myself, or getting into a brawl.

In restrospect, tonight was a nice change...

A nice white from a Nova Scotia vinyard (Jost), After the evening meal, I'll offer our guests their choice of either Black Sheep ale from a brewery in Yorkshire or the Famous Grouse blended Whiskey. No heavy duty drinkers here.
Happy New Year to all.

I swilled down a nice bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel w/ coke. Man does that create a nice hangover.
