Post OT: My latest speeds.

At 95 Degrees today I did some 0-60 runs and 1/4 mile runs.
Run 1: 6.94
Run 2: 6.94
Run 3: 6.90
Run 4: 7.01 (it stuttered on the the slight peel)
All the 1/4 mile times were between 15.37-15.6 right around 89-92MPH

Hopefully 7PSI boost system sometime soon... I'm guessing that'll throw me right around the 5.7-6.1 marker.

I went back out tonight, it was cooler, but my headlights had to be up unfortunately.
7.12, 7.0, 7.06, 7.16, and a few other low 7's. Well the paintjob I have on there is a FAIR ammount lighter than the original. I just lightened the normal stuff I guess you could say.

-spare tire
-jack
-tools
-sound deadeners
-top half of back seat
-heater blower motor
-had the seats reupholstered from the OEM (it was all torn) and the material used is lighter, but not much ya know.
-The new exhaust system is substantially lighter, I think 15LBS.
-The new clutch disc is lighter hehe.
-Also, my wheels only weigh 15LB a peice. They are lighter than Phone Dials (I have cast cookie cutters). The stereo system i put in is lighter than oem.

I'm going to be getting it weighed sometime, I'll let you guys know the results.

Hah, oh yeah not funny.
It is, the cd player weighs a good bit less than the OEM Radio. The speakers are lighter in the front as well.
5Lbs total maybe, but EVERY 5LBs counts? If I could drop 5lbs at every section of the car cheaply, I'd do it, wouldn't you?

Wink

How about you get rid of the tailgate. Just ducktape a few trash bags around it. Better yet, use scotch tape, its lighter. Bust out the side windows too. Remove the automatic antenae if you have one.
