Thanks to 5 axis, again.
Machinetek (George) saved my butt again on my CNC mill, just wanted to thank you again for putting us in touch.
|
More details...what did 5 Axis help you do?
|
About a year ago my CNC mill broke down and 5 axis put me in touch with a former Bridgeport tech named George (MachineTek) who hangs out at the CNCzone forum, George spent over an hour on the phone with me diagnosing the problem. Aside from that he gave me a few pointers for using my mill that have made most of my parts better including the exhaust stud tool I make.
Well the mill broke down again and George again came to the rescue at a time when I had a bunch of exhaust tools to make as well as other parts. George is a great guy and so is 5-axis for putting the two of us in touch. George is also a P-car guy. ;) |
Very cool...the power of the board. I also love CNCzone.
Following your caliper thread with great interest as well. |
Aw shucks :p Glad to have helped out. It's nice to see things are going well.

No problem, credit where credit is due. My hobby/machine shop has grown cosiderable since last year. I bought a surface grinder last June and a 22"x72" 20HP Polamco lathe in October. I love watching that lathe take 0.400" DOC on steel, nice "clinky" blue chips. I could gravel the driveway with them. All thanks to tmng positive rake inserts. Makes the little Logan look like a total toy!
