Ummmmmm.....shall we trot out Robertson and Falwell as a counter point?

*sigh*

Yes, there are both liberal and conservative wackos...now can we move on?

Oooooo man, best be careful. Calling Sheehan a wacko makes you an insensitive ass and some will wish your children dead. This woman is grieving, have you no soul? I suggest you edit.

Back in the 70's was there for a convention. Heading home at the airport saw two grown men french kissing each other before one got on the plane. That was just about all I needed to never need to return to SFO again unless I had to on business...

<<< Someone came on stage and announced that the speeches were about to begin. Cindy Sheehan herself was the keynote speaker! Also scheduled were Stephen and Virginia Pearcy and various local politicians. I scampered up to the stage area to catch all the action.

You may have noticed in the previous video a strange girl in the audience, stumbling around like a zombie in front of the stage. I'm not sure who she was (and no, she's not me!), but she heckled almost every speaker and behaved very bizarrely throughout the entire event. I don't think it was an act.

And FINALLY, after far too many warm-up acts, it was time for the Cindy Show!

She officially "went over to the other side" by insisting that none of the people killed in Iraq are terrorists. When she was done, she hugged various RCP members. Notice how the only time her smile disappeared all day was the moment her speech was over, and she realized that she was no longer going to be the center of attention. >>>>

Idiots... but still support their right to free speech, no matter how silly they end up sounding.

I think Cindy had long ago used up her 'grieving mother' card. Her mugging for the cameras has dishonored her son. Shes bizarre.

Don't say I didn't warn ya:)

That is really reaching with Robertson and Falwell, yes they are nuts, but nothing like the idiots at this event. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1136748275.jpg

Stephen, Cindy and Medea got all friendly with the Revolutionary Communist Party bigwigs.

I like the "few, scarce jobs" sign...when unemployment is 4.9%, right at the natural frictional level.

It must suck to wake up and believe this about your country:<hr>http://www.zombietime.com/world_cant...5/IMG_3431.JPG

No State can succeed from the Union. But I wonder if we can kick one out....

Anti-war is a simple front for these communists.

The left "wonders" because this is not indicative of the left. These are out-there people, just like Falwell and Robertson are out-there people. The left is smart enough to realize the difference between you guys and those who are out there.

The left wonders why you're so clueless as to not see that.

cowtown 01-08-2006 03:53 PM

Actually, I think fastpat is an intelligent guy, judging from his posts. I'm not the libertarian he is, but he knows his stuff. I enjoy your exchanges with him, Mul.

Hmmm. Could you back this up? On which points do you agree with your president more than with the SF protesters? Please be specific.

I do not disagree with you. He is obviously intelligent, yet clueless contemporaneously.:D

Well I'm not much of a left person.

But the truth is, I don't care that much, all those words on those signs, like these goofys do. My whole concern is the waste of money and the resulting distraction of this stupid decision which gives no attention to an issue that must be addressed, terrorism.

I disagree with the president's decision because I do not think it's America's job to fund a civil war, and I think the issue of terrorism should be addressed now.

So, let me ask you this. Because I disagree with the president in his poor decision making, does that, in your mind, make me one of "these people"?

"and I think the issue of terrorism should be addressed now."

I am religous about NOT watching the news, but have there been alot of terrorist events in the US since we put the hammer down in the MidEast?

I don't agree with either.

What's your point?

I'm required to agree with one or the other "more" or I'm "like them?"

That makes no sense.

Nathans_Dad 01-08-2006 06:04 PM

Of course not. It's her MO.

Notice how she makes all sorts of statements defending the "left" and then says she isn't "left" when asked. If she isn't left, she sure likes the left a whole lot because she spends her days on this board defending em. Maybe she just feels sorry for the left. She doesn't seem to have the same concern for the right tho...
