Adobe ImageReady help needed.

I'm trying to edit 2 frames of a 4 frame .gif file. When I drag and drop onto the desired frame, the change applies to all 4 frames of the .gif. I have tried locking the frames I don't want changed, but no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Any ideas?

I hope this helps.

Make sure both your "animation" and "layers" windows are showing. These can be found under the "window" menu.

In your case you should see four frames in the animation window. What appears in each frame is actually a composition of one or more layers. In other words, the layers supply the content to the frame. As an example, when you highlight the first frame within the animation window, the layers which are linked to that frame will have an eyeball icon appear beside them (which can be toggled on or off).

When you drag and drop something onto your main window as you are doing, it creates a new layer, which by default is assigned to each frame within your animation window. What you need to do, I think, is drag and drop your edit and then re-compose your animation, frame by frame, by selecting / de-selecting the appropriate layers.

Let me know if this helps.
