No... not on the freeway!
As I posted on the latest gun thread I can't justify buying another gun because I haven't been practicing with the one(s) I have now (at least in the last year or so). I have used a few indoor ranges but I was wondering if there was any place around here where I could do some pin or plate shooting just to make things more interesting and hopfully encourage me to practice more. Also anyone know anything about my gun, it is a 9mm Star P40... and before you bag on it because it is not a Sigg or Colt I bought it because it had a VERY favorable write up in a gun magazine by Mr. Ayoobe (sp). I have put probably a thousand rounds through the thing so I do know how to work it BTW.

For outdoor there's Wes Thompson out on the way to Lake Piru. In the same area they have a "shooting gallery" with the metal ducks, plates etc. They have the "Steel Plate Challenge" there every year and also a "Quick Draw" club meets there, similar to S.A.S.S.

I took my young son to the San Gabriel Gun Club. It was the only place I could take a 9 year old that would allow him to shoot with me as the supervisor. In my opinion, it is a good idea to allow kids who are curious about guns to teach how to handle them safely (which is not at all unless I specifically allow him in my presence). It takes away that sneeky compulsion that some kids have. He has great respect for them and knows exactly what they are capable of.
