30 th birthday on Jan 19th
I turn 30 tomorrow...
-I have a wonderful wife -I have an awesome crooked old house -I got promoted yesterday -I'm taking a university course again for the first time in years, chipping away at my degree 3-4 years ago, I honestly would not have expected to have any of the things on that list. I am a very, very lucky guy.

Happy Birthday!!
When I turned 30 I was getting divorced. Now, 8+ years later, I am amazed still at how far my life has progressed and improved. I am in a great marriage to my soulmate with a fantastic little boy and a daughter on the way. Yeah, life is good for me now. Oh yeah, there's a freakin' 911 sitting in the garage beneath me. WOOHOO!!!!! Enjoy the day, Jake. (tha's my sons name, too)

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt as much as you probably think :-) I turned 30 this past July, and hardly noticed it. Then again, sometimes I still think I'm 18. (based on actions rather than looks, mind you...)

Thanks folks! I'm throwing myself a "surpirise" birthday party tomorrow.
I'm charging $5 admission, with proceeds going to Healing Hands for Haiti, and to a temporary shelter to women and children who are victims of abuse. I've got about 60 people confirmed so far. Should be quite an event! I'm putting up a couple extra jack posts in the basement tonight, just in case Les, I have people on their way from NS after work tomorrow. A drive could be arranged
