The look on their faces is priceless. Thanks for the link Randy.

POSs

Murtha talks about how enlistments are down and in the next sentence talks down potential enlistees...He totally intentionally ignores the fact that reenlistment rates are outstanding.

Murtha is a left wing propagandist liar.

PRICELESS!!! I love their reaction...or should I say lack thereof.

Now, why wasn't this shown in the national media like when that other soldier called out Rummy about the humvee armor? Nah...the media isn't biased.

Their silence was deafening! :D

To hell with their silence, how about the complete and total lack of postings from Edited - let's keep the name calling to a minimm, ok? -Z-man. Rodeo, SloPat and G9?

Just loved it... "that was not in the form of a question, lets go over here for our next question".... And they say they represent us!

Moran WAS my congressman when I lived in Alexandria. That guy has more baggage than American Airlines - a wife beater, anti-semite and all around buffoon. He gets in trouble about once a year putting his foot in his mouth, taking loans from lobbyists, etc. What a jerk.

lendaddy 01-20-2006 06:17 AM

Dumasses didn't even to have the dignity to thank him and acknowledge their disagreement. How pathetic.

I hate to interrupt your guys' circle-jerk, but I can think of instances of Republican officials doing the exact same thing. I'm not certainly endorsing that sort of response, but it happens on both sides of the isle.

Worse than that, that leftist scum politician actually chided the soldier for making a statement and not posing a question...I guess he missed the Alioto hearings.

Who is that guy, Alex Tribec? :D

Please show us the Rep who states that "I am the representative of the Military" then proceeds to stick the knife in their back even deeper?

Those two guys deserved what they got and a lot more...

OOOhh... you got me there Joe

my original statement stands... get a grip guys.

I don't know, this isn't half as bad (or good) as you guys are making it out to be. One guy says one thing, the other says the opposite. Yeah, the suits got burned a bit, but nothing serious went down here. Hell, the suits actually allowed regular people to ask them questions without being screened first!@%!% Presidential awards for Courage to each of them!

There are plenty of nastier issues that could have been addressed IMO:
- soldier and humvee body armor, has it been sufficient?
- fallen soldiers being sent home in the cargo sections of commercial airliners
- lack of timeline from command
- why Rummy wasn't signing the government condolence letters by hand until families put up a stink a few years back

I mean, one jerk in a suit saying he saw low moral in the troops is pretty lame, but there are much more aggregious issues to be faced and questioned right now, don't you think?

1. One minute you lefties are b!tching about the "military industrial complex" and defunding the military every chance you get, the next minute you are blaming Bush for the partial truth of lack of body armor.

2. So?...You lefty's bemoaning the plight of the dead and wounded is only self-serving...You are the people who spit on our soldiers upon their return from Vietnam...You never have and never will care about the military...They overwhelmingly support Bush.

3. Who says?...Lack of timeline my ass...The very notion of a timeline is more self-serving soundbites that have no foundation in our well-being or historical precedent...The timeline is to DO THE FREAKIN JOB! (near impossible when pulling knives out of our back is a full time job).

4. More self-serving pap...Petty BS.
