Which TV to BUY...

Costco has coupons for 2 different models of TV

1. Philiphs 50" Plasma HDTV ...1366 X 768 resolution, built in HD Tuner...$2599.00

OR

2. Toshiba 62" DLP HDTV...1280 X 720 resolution, built in HD Tuner..$2699.99

Which one to buy and why, is one substantially better than the other?

Panasonic - consistently gets best picture quality and reliability in UK consumer tests.

go with a panasonic (if you want plasma) and skip the built in tuner. You don't need one if you plan to use satellite or digital cable (if not why bother with a HD plasma)

Plasma's run hot so no matter what you choose make sure you can "test view" them in a quite location. Some have fans that are VERY loud. Most Panasonics get by with no fans at all.
