Such a horrible tragedy...

This whole story is so horrible that it has really adversely affected my mood. It makes me realize that whatever problems I may have in life are utterly insignificant compared with what some people must endure.

Grandpa dies on hearing 7 children killed in fiery wreck

Thursday, January 26, 2006; Posted: 6:01 p.m. EST (23:01 GMT)

LAKE BUTLER, Florida (CNN) -- News of a crash in which seven children perished so upset their grandfather that he had a massive heart attack and died, the children's mother said.

"I lost my daddy tonight," Barbara Mann said Wednesday. "My dad died of a massive heart attack tonight over all this. He lost all seven of his grandkids ... I can't deal with this."
In the article CNN has a teaser link entitled "(Watch as news of the deaths proved to be unbearable -- 1:18)". How sick is that? What kind of twisted voyeur would click that link? I'm just going to try to put the whole thing out of my mind.

That's horrible alright. Poor people. It's a shameful indication by CNN that bad news sells though.

TerryH 01-26-2006 04:12 PM

wow... just when you think it can't get worse.

tdatk 01-26-2006 04:33 PM

Absolutely horrific..no words can express my deepest sorrow for those children and their family.

No doubt...CNN is the satan network.

Saw it last night on CNN. They were really playing it up. Usually do not watch CNN but when you are in a hotel with only two English channels...

I imagine the woman will age 10 years in a week. Been on the scene when a Van with a half dozen kids under 10 got hit head on by a drunk driver in a big old Lincoln. Gave me nightmares, seriously, Christ I am crying typing this

Tears (rightfully)- the size of horse turds for 7 innocent children.
Interesting that these same people (for the most part) could not give a rat's ass about the DELIBERATE killing of thousands of innocent women and children in Iraqi . I know - lesser human beings - er - I mean collateral damage.

Beyond comprehension.

Fox reported the driver of the van was 15, but that the suspicion is on the truck driver.

I could never survive working in a field that exposed me to stuff like that. Hats off to you.

How about an ex-con meth head who drives his truck into a motorcyclist and then leaves the scene Union Tribune

sure it does
all the time

some of it even get's in the news ( child molestation , random killing, starvation , mutiliation , list goes on and on)
most of if doesn't

life isn't fair
it isn't all sunshine and rainbows

some need religion to drag themselves through it
but frankly , that's just a cop out , it may work for those

but that don't change the facts

live's a b!tch, then you die

there is not purpose , an ant doesn't ask himself what the purpose of life is , he just lives, and that's it.

ery sad indeed. That family has been rocked.

Yesterday I was driving my SC to work and passed two woman walking on the side of the road with strollers. About 15 minutes later one was hit by a pickup truck and killed.

One of my field crews came up on the accident and called into the office. He said the woman was knocked out of her shoes and the baby carraige was mangled.

The pickup started to stop then took off.

When I was coming home from work I saw 10 police cars surroundng a pickup truck in the parking lot of the post office 1/2 mile from my home.

The pickup was abandoned there. It seems the owner of the truck reported it stolen one hour after the accident.

I am not buying that one. This one was way too personal and has affected me greatly. I hope the police get to the bottom of this one.

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time..........
