"Making Le Mans" on speed channel
 

Just when I think speedOvission is sucking beyond all belief they turn around and surprise me with a half hour of fine TV.

Those of you you who hate the movie Le Mans with Steve McQueen need read no further.

Saw it last night and it was great, interviews with his son, directors, Derik Bell, etc. If you like the movie you will love it.

One of my favorite bits was they were running a 908 with cameras and it rained heavily during the night taking out all the front runners. By the morning they were in eighth place. The pit crew told them if they stopped coming in to reload the cameras they would probably win the race. The director decided that the studio would rather have the film than the trophy!
