Anyone having a problem with Craiglist

It seems to have been down for the last 12 hours for me.

My only problem with it is that there are not enough hookers on it, only like a couple thousand here locally. Oops, did I say that.... :)

Seems to be fine here too. Maybe you need to clean out your temp files and cookies.

Oh wait..... There is a problem.

There is a guy asking $4700 for a 1979 Honda 750. Says he has it priced high so that it will go to someone that will really care for it like he did.

I think that is a problem.

That .com is a killer.

You ARE using craigslist.ORG?

1973911s 01-29-2006 09:59 AM

Yes

But when you put it in a .com you get an interesting website.

Any chance your wife/SO/GF has the site blocked?

Just checked again, the price on the 750 has not come down.

What makes Craigslist so (seemingly) popular?

1973911s 01-29-2006 11:39 AM

When I cleared my Cache it was fine, but just went back and no luck!

Not here. I get the same SFO Craigslist with both .com and .org

Works fine here but am on the other side of the pond. No problems the last few days...

Nationwide, highly read classifieds with regional separation, and they're FREE!

I find myself using Craigslist more than eBay, especially for heavy items I would like to sell locally.

How do they make revenue? Seems there would be some master plan to make a profit there somewhere.

RickM 01-29-2006 04:22 PM

I use it to sell locally as well.

Revenue comes in from Employment ads.

TerryH 01-29-2006 04:27 PM

ah... I see, thanks. Glad they make money on employment and not on classifieds.

real550A 01-29-2006 04:35 PM

Oops!

real550A 01-29-2006 04:36 PM

I listed a Toyota passenger car and a Chev 3/4 ton pickup on there. Both sold inside of a week! Other classifieds I've used weren't that fast. Also, bought a Targa cheap too!

edit-

LeeH 01-29-2006 05:37 PM

Do you have some junk that needs to be hauled away? I've had people tripping over each other to get to my junk first when I posted it there.
