What are you doing Sunday besides the Super Bowl?

In the past I used to go to Super Bowl parties for the Beer. Then I realized I can drink Beer anytime I want.

I am really not interested in Football anymore. The only thing I bother to stop and watch is motorsports. Nothing better than a SCCA runoff or any sports car race for that matter.

I think our local PCA has an Autocross this Sunday, now we are talking!!

Anyone else skip the Superbowl?

Superbowl? Is it football season already? :D

Nahhh, used to be a humongous football fan back when I was in school...lost interest over the years... I'm sure I'll find something to do...prolly drink a beer though. :)

I'm with you guys. I like to watch college football, but not much into pro anymore. Besides, I got plenty of football watching during bowl season.

I gotta finish putting in a fuel cell for my soon to be club racer.
Can't wait till race season starts.

Great Idea!! It will be empty. I also hear Disney is empty during the super bowl as well.

There really is a PCA AX event but my tires suck so I will probably do lots of honey do's instead. I already warned the wife that March will be very busy. I have a 2 day DE in Homestead and the 12 Hours of Sebring.

I'll be thinking of you having fun on that nice empty road.

Sorry guys, but I'll be watching. Not only the game, the hype as well. You see, it's basketball & golf I can't stand to watch, so this is going to be my last TV sports watching for a while...

I got drafted to work that evening. I would have watched the SB, mostly for the commercials. Heck... who's playing in the SB this year??

gprsh924 02-01-2006 05:22 PM

ive been waiting a year for the superbowl
i lvoe football

jorian 02-01-2006 05:29 PM

The best part of the SB is the commercials BUT, the CRTC won't let us watch much without (yawn) Canadian content. Sooooo I'll be working on the Fuchs I'm picking up tomorrow from the polishers.

Motorcycle ride with friends, buddy of mine is in town with his Ducati Monster. Starting 9:30 at local Starbucks then heading East to ride Palomar and Julian. Back at 2:00 pm for beers, BBQ, and the game. Weather is supposed to be clear and 70's - can't wait.

I have not watched a regular season NFL game in years. We watch the NFC/AFC championship games and the SB - mainly for the commercials.

game? huh?

i'll be at the playground with the boy. dk about the evening...my usual gig is cancelled because of the game. Maybe a ride up the coast on the bike...

techweenie 02-01-2006 06:16 PM

The super what?

I'll be prepping the track car for a One Day paint job!

Rick Lee 02-01-2006 06:18 PM

I think game time will be the perfect time to hit the range. Last Sat. I got to the NRA Range at 8:45am, 15 min. after they opened, and I was #2 on the hour-long waitlist. I also have to get the SC washed and photographed for the new insurance co. since USAA dropped the SC.

nostatic 02-02-2006 01:23 AM

range. done and done.

tabascobobcat 02-02-2006 02:58 AM

Teaching the boy the finer art of smoking baby backs on apple wood in preparation for the SB. My manager has invited himself over. I prefer him not to come so I am avoiding him this week. Polumalu will be MVP.

Do you mind if I ask why? I've got USAA and I don't like the idea of them dropping one my cars!

Rick Lee 02-02-2006 06:42 AM

Because I called to inquire about DE coverage and foolishly admitted to them that I trackthe SC, albeit with a separate track policy. They said my doing so violated their underwriting guidelines and dropped me. We went back and forth for a while and my appeals ran out.

My thoughts exactly... but I'm counting on Seattle drawing an extraordinary number of viewers, thus leaving the slopes empty:

Doing it yourself or prepping it for someone else? Need to do that to mine when I finally get home.

Flying half that day, like Michael is... heading to the warm part of the world.

After the game, I take them to Peachtree-DeKalb. Anything going on in Atlanta?
