Off to the house Auction

I am selling my office/house (long story) and right now its only listed on the MLS with a realtor/friend of mine.

He wants me to Auction it off he claims I can walk away with more money even though it will sell cheaper due to buyer paying all costs. Its tempting considering the soft market and my need to unload the house quick. (I'll get into that when I get back)

So I am off to watch a similar house Auction off. Unfortunatly the weather is not cooperating so I guess I will see the worse case scenerio.

The auction was a flop. Only 2 qualified buyers showed up. Definatly a sign of what is going on here in Port St. Lucie.

There are a record amount of homes on the market right now for a record amount of time.

Has the bubble started to leak? Definatly, as I have said in another real estate thread one of the biggest builders in town (happens to be my client) has not started a now home in 4 months. This is off from their usual 40 starts a month.

I paid 180K for my office/house and will be happy unloading it for 220k. 200K is looking more realistic.

No more time right now, more later.
