Hideous from all angles. I've tried to describe how much I despise the concept and execution of this vehicle in the past but haven't been able to find the right words. I don't know if the right words even exist. Perhaps if anyone despised something as much as I do this vehicle they could simply say they "Porsche Cayenne" it.

Nah, I'd say someone 'pulled a Cayenne' if they tried to make a product that is simply NOT what they are known to do, in order to fit in or tap another market...

Come on guys with the phony nosecap facade there really is no way you can get an accurate picture of the real front end. I'll reserve judgement.

The new styling makes it look related to the Hyundai Tiburon. Twins, separated at birth. OUCH. Who signs off on styling, anyways??

I agree with what Automobile magazine once called the Cayenne:

"Perplexingly hideous"

And what did they say about the VW Toureg?

"Like a Cayenne, but not stupid."

My wife drives a Cayenne (V8).. She had to sell her Beetle Turbo S as the 2nd baby (2 car seats and double stroller) wouldn't fit.

We testdrove everything (MB wagons, Bimmer 5 series etc). She felt an SUV would be more safe (passive safety here) given all the Suburbans that we have here...

We could afford the Cayenne... Why not?

Do not like those big Front end Scoops or openings , it remains me of the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire GT..........What an ugly car it was!

Because with the VW Toureg you get the same thing, except that it looks much better, and costs less.

Thats the practical thing but why not and what sounds better, I drive a Porsche or I drive a VW. Well in my case, I drive both and sometimes on the same day.

I actually have always liked the Cayenne. It is a successful vehicle and I'll happily drive one however I want the TURBO.

I think i hear Dr Porsche doing backflips while knashing his teeth 6 ft under... i look at photos of those old 917 and 908 engines Wayne helped find from the glory days and then this and shake my head in utter disgust. Whatever happened to staying successful by being true to one's lineage like Ferrari? I swear to god if i didn't love my old SC and and all of those brutal, purposeful yet simple speed machines that the old company built up until it stopped racing, i would have written this damn company off years ago. I can hear the Porsche staff geeks cum PR spin merchants who drive to work in their Rennaults now 'Lets play the supercar co - CGT. Lets play the family with 2.5 kids family friendly company - Cay****e, Oh, hey, didn't we used to race cars, like or something? - Hey, lets make a new race car thingy like the Audi and call it something cool with names from some of that stuff that the old guy liked... what was that, Spyder or something, oh and tack an 'RS' on it.' Oh and Franz-baby, can you get me another Double-soy non-fat latte when you get finished with priliminary sketches on the our FABULOUS new bloated Wundercar the Panamera (you know, like that dirtly little race in mexico where we i wouldn't even think of taking any of our cute little cars now.)
WHATEVER
