They also played Gloria and a couple of other oldies. I looked around at all the younger fans and they had the "WTF, is this a cover tune?" look on their faces.

The only thing that I didn't get to hear was them ending the set with '40'. Instead they just played Vertigo, again.
you INNER CIRCLE BASTARD

have "Wide Awake In America" running in the teener with the top off. gotta love sunny days in Seattle in February.

didn't the crowd do the encore of '40' for them?

That's two things we agree on, Marc. Snow Cap and Unforgettable Fire.

Looks like some of you would not recognize innovative music, aural art, if it knocked you to the sidewalk.

It was about 1983 when I heard my first U2. The Unforgettable Fire. I thought "Wow, this band is really innovative. They sound like the anger and peace of the Irish People. These guys are going places. Who are they?

Hmmmmm......

I actually found a copy of "Bad" from Live Aid.

Almost brought tears to my eyes.

Any nay-sayers out there, lets compare U2 with another Grammy winner, oh, let's say Kelly Clarkson. Hmm. Lets see who has staying power and real talent that doesnt come from a voice scrubber and synth machine...

Can you say Corporate Rock? Just thinking of her winning makes me want to go play Stormtroopers of Death at 11.
