new Mardi Gras parade ride

My new Mardi Gras ride. Going to a bar is fun. Going to Mardi Gras is fun.. I'm bringing my bar to Mardi Gras. Hopefully I can carry 6-8 people. 14 hp with hydrostatic drive. Going to install barstools tonight and have a shakedown cruise this weekend to work out all the bugs. Finish the trimwork, decorate, and we'll be ready for the parade! That's a buddy of mine giving me a hand today

I'm guessing Louisiana is a little lax on the "open container" laws?

No open container in effect during Mardi Gras. At least none that I've ever experienced. It's kind of hard to stop several thousand people from drinking at a Mardi Gras parade. They do not like glass containers in the parades, but don't give you a hard time about it. Got 8 bar stools welded on tonight. Misplaced my camera today, but will take some more pics as it comes along. Drink and drive? I'll just be sitting at the bar. well, technically... driving the bar around the neighborhood

Around here they shoot big syringes full of vodka into watermelons and take it on the beach.

we'll probably have an old party ball keg filled with margarita's, big mugs filled with Vodka, and either Tequila or Scotch. it's only a few miles for the parade route but takes 3 hours or so. The last half of the parade usually gets quite a bit out of focus. Luckily my friend's wife doesn't drink, so at least we will be able to get home after the parade.

Everyone has a great time at Mardi Gras. Businesses shut down, kids are let out of school, banks close, etc.. It's a big deal down here. my favorite time of the year

Very cool!! Make sure to take lots of pics and post them up. Or, open a photobucket account and invite me to see the pictures if they are not work safe.

I hope you guys have an awesome Mardi Gras you have earned it 10x over.

Bet you will have a lot of new friends.

Be sure to bring beads and show us the pictures of the ladies you trade them with...

I met Johnco tonight. He and his G/F have a very nice wine store and cafe in Morgan City. The eggplant soup and the fish ravioli were absolutely excellent. Nice cigars and fine wines. A very good place and great company if your ever in Morgan City. I'm going back to the Cafe on Wednesday night for fried turkey and more moonshine!
