PPOT is Great for Socializing!
 

I'm in Morgan City, LA and saw Johnco last night at his G/F's restaurant. Great place. Anyway, John just saw that I'm on PPOT and he PM'd me and asked if I want to come over for a drink and cigar. The restaurant is about 200 feet from my hotel room. So I'm signing off and going over there.

I agree, me and Rodeo are headed out for a beer right now. Speedy and Tech are gonna catch up with us at the pool hall. Then it's off to Thoms place for a nightcap and some benchracing. This place is great.:D

ha! Hugh's a lightweight. 4 or 5 shots of moonshine, 4 or 5 shots of scotch, a couple hours of drinking and he's ready to go home to call his wife. Lightweight! hahahahaha! sent him home with a bottle of moonshine, gumbo, and hugs and kisses from all the waitresses. hope he does bettter with the fried turkeys and drinks tomorrow. Just teasing Hugh! you're not quite an honorary cajun yet! you need more practice. A true cajun never quits,,, never says I've had enough. as long as you're able to stand, you keep drinking. you quit way too early... just teasing! seeya tomorrow night. you'll never eat baked turkey again after tomorrow...

Hugh... tomorrow night I bring the Absinth. I've been forgetting it at home. haven't tried it yet, but it seems to be a good time to open it up. it's only 180 proof. we'll have to try a shot or two before you go

Travelling around, I get to meet a few Pelicans as well. There is a group in NYC that does not need much of an excuse to get together. Those guys have a old-fashioned beer hall all trained to accept their impromptu meets on short notice.

I'm up in Sun Valley, Idaho for the weekend, anyone else up here?

For sure a good time to be had. Any NY guys up for a Beer 'n Bratwurst run?

I'm back in NYC the 26th thru 28th-ish.

BTW, is MINUS 6F this morning at Sun Valley. Light north wind, making the wind chill -20. Only did two runs and retreated to the lodge and PPOT. Bright sunny cloudless sky, but is supposed to start snowing again this evening, all the way thru Sunday night. We leave Monday, so, as always, timing, as they say, is everything.
