Nothing to See Here...Move Along...
So, wasn't some report released last night that had Saddam Hussein talking about his chemical and biological weapons just before the invasion? I can't seem to find any mention of it on Yahoo or CNN...
|
Yup. I can't post a link but it has been all over the national news. He talks about how easy it would be to set off a bio bomb in Washington DC.
|
I caught a little bit of that on the news also. I guess it is not the right kind of news as it makes it sound as if the "Bush lied about WMD" thing was maybe not entirely accurate! Imagine that!
|
Think you've got that a bit twisted. The tape has Saddam talking (pre 9/11) about how the US will fall prey to a major terrorist attack (like how simple it would be to set off a WMD in a US city), but he also says that such attack would not "come from Iraq".
Don't yank those remarks out of context as some yeah-haw evidence of Iraqi WMD possession. That case is closed and sealed my friends. |
Come on guys, didn't you hear the latest?? Saddam lied about his own WMD to get Bush to invade and depose him. It's all Saddam's grand evil plan.

Here's the quote off the wire...
'Terrorism is coming,' Hussein warned U.S. WASHINGTON -- Saddam Hussein told aides he warned the United States before 1990 that terrorists would launch a huge strike on U.S. soil, even raising the spectre of a nuclear attack, according to secret tapes obtained by ABC News. The toppled Iraqi leader is heard on the recordings he made in his office during the 1990s, ruling out any such strike by Iraq. The recordings also feature members of Mr. Hussein's family talking about how to conceal data on illegal weapons programs from United Nations inspectors, according to ABC, which was to show the tapes late yesterday. "Terrorism is coming. I told the Americans a long time before Aug. 2 and told the British as well . . . that in the future there will be terrorism with weapons of mass destruction," Mr. Hussein is heard to say. |
Quote:
The Bush'ists endanger us all by this continued war crime in Iraq, and the proposed illegal invasion by aerial bombardment of Iran. I've got it, since Bush is openly talking about an illegal bombing of Iran, let's arrest and prosecute him for this thought crime. Makes just as much sense as depending on tape recordings of another politician as an excuse for war. |
