my new Lynksys ange extender rocks!
I used to have a Belkin 624 wireless G router in my basement. Up in the den signal was a little weak-2 Mbps. I now installed a new Lynksys Super G router downstairs and a Lynksys range extender upstairs-I'm now at 54Mbps. Everything loads so much faster. Bring on the grid girls!
Btw-I was told they don't make the range extenders anymore so if you want one you may want to hurry. Best Buy was out but Office Depot had three left. They ony work with certain Lynksys wireless routers also. |
I had a problem with my wireless signal, so I just bought a cable and moved the antenna a bit.

Sebring, I was complaining about this issue earlier today. I took your advice and ordered one from Newegg.com. I'll report back with results, David

It's really great! I could have moved my router upstairs but I need signal downstairs in my office occasionally. Also, I have 4 ethernet cables plugged into the router for PCs downstairs so it would make that difficult as well. I'm really looking forward to being able to take my notebooks outdoors this summer! I guess that makes me a bit nerdy.
David-be forewarned-setup is critical as is having a compatible Lynksys router. |
