365 Movies in 365 Days
One of my goals for the year is to watch (and analyze and and rate) 365 movies.
I'm on track, at around 70 so far, but there's a long way to go. It's been an interesting experience. Been pleasantly surprised by almost all of the movies I've watched so far. Some duds, but I've been able to get something from almost all of them. As an avid reader, most of my fun goals in past years have involved reading. A couple years ago it was to read every word of the Bible in 365 days (how could any avid reader not read what is undoubtedly the single most influential book in human history?). Doing a careful read, that was fairly challenging, at least through many parts of the Old Testament. But worthwhile. Anyways, I'm armed with Netflix, Prime Movies, Youtube TV and others, so any suggestions are appreciated! |

Get a Firestick and download an app called Cinema. The selection is near endless. I watch a movie almost every day and I am not even trying.

Netflix has a ton of James Bond movies right now. Watched "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" this weekend.

My favorite movie: No better visual presentation, story and acting.
"Shoot straight, you Bastards, don't make a mess of it." Paraphrasing. In the same vein: Gallipoli Patton Three Days of the Condor I can go on and on!

I watched "The Salvation" on Netflix last night, also with Mads Mikkelsen. If any of you like Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns, I think you'd like this one, too. A true western, a villain as evil as the devil's own spawn, body count (plus) (plus) (plus), good story with clever dialogue, great visuals, lighting, direction.

I prefer to watch movies that are not the 'latest'. Not sure how you would go about finding these though.
Avanti! - Critics say it can be a little slow, but I think overall a nice movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avanti! Le Samouraļ - Old French neo-noir crime film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Samoura%C3%AF Any of Akira Kurosawa's films Wong Kar-wai has some weird stuff Contact Gattaca These are just off the top of my head.
