I pay enough for my ISP (cable modem) to have to pay MORE for what is already FREE.
I forsee anyone trying to charge for what is now free losing a lot of customers. Rightfully so.

It's a tough one.. and I can see the telcos' perspective. Basically, they are paying to build & maintain the basic infrastructure that the IT economy lives on. However, any telco that doesn't double as an ISP is doomed anyway.
