'Caught the last half. Thanks.
Never heard of the question as to who was actually driving.
I always did wonder if it was a matter of not being able to see a low silver car floating along on asphalt heat waves on a hot sunny day.
A good report.
My older sister bawled her eyes out when she heard.
.
$7k for that Spyder in '55...what would that figure be today's dollars?

No doubt.

About the price of a new Boxster S with no options.

Don, you got me thinking about how Porsche values have corresponded with Inflation over years..so I went to this link:

http://www.westegg.com/inflation/

and came up with this comparison between a purchase of a Carrera S in 2005 vs. 911 Turbo (there was no Carrera S in 1980)... pretty close actually....:

"What cost $97000 in 2005 would cost $38194.11 in 1980.
Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 1980 and 2005, they would cost you $97000 and $246346.91 respectively."

For 2005 Turbo to 1980 Turbo:

"What cost $115000 in 2005 would cost $45281.67 in 1980.
Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 1980 and 2005,
they would cost you $115000 and $292060.77 respectively."

What did a 911 Turbo cost in 1980? I know that the 928 was about $40K (cause I saw Scarface and also Risky Business :)
