i once bought a raffle ticket to win a bull. i paid my money and THEN found out the critter was still alive. i never hoped and prayed not to win before in my life. i guess i could always set him loose in a field and snipe his ass from afar with a deer rifle. nevertheless, i am glad i didnt win.

Like I said not a single credible report of any possible health problems. As to the type of fat, there are NO studies showing one type is better than another and in the only big study done to date there was no evidence that fat made any difference, period, for normal moderate intakes.

as to the quality of meat, the method of slaughter probably makes the biggest difference. We used to grow pigs, chickens for the "experience". If you let the animal get frightened, run around before slaughter it would practicaly ruin its quality and taste.
