Estate Expense?
Tennessee law says that I can pay "estate expenses" out of an estate. It does not define estate expenses. I don't have access to case law in Tennessee to see what has been ruled as acceptable expenses.
The only ongoing expense of my father's I have not been able to cancel is his storage space in Nashville. Is the monthly rent on that a legitimate "estate expense"?
