i do not like aerodynamics

just thought i would let all of you know...

(this stuff can kiss my Reynolds number)

island911 03-01-2006 08:26 PM

What? . . .what's not to like?

87coupe 03-01-2006 08:34 PM

What? You don't like cars shaped like a wedge of cheese? :p

air-cool-me 03-01-2006 09:57 PM

i guess i like the class more then if i was stuck learning about "Post-Impressionism" in some art class...

So, are you saying that your aero class is a drag? :D

slodave 03-01-2006 11:23 PM

I like ground effects.

cheesey! but I'm dying!

thanks for the joke

Porsche-O-Phile 03-02-2006 03:32 AM

To quote one of my old flight instructors:

"You can make a brick fly if you apply enough power to it"

Conclusion: All that stuff about drag, airfoils, Bernoulli's Principle, pressure gradients, etc. is only partially necessary. To really get performance, simply add mo' powah!!! :D

A fellow sufferer! Thus far, the only purpose of this class has been to convince me that I have zero interest in aerodynamics. I hate school...........

singpilot 03-02-2006 05:18 AM

It's funny, once you are out in the real world earning a living with aerodynamics, you wish you were back in school learning more about them.

air-cool-me 03-02-2006 06:21 AM

oh? So there is a real word use for this? ;)

i understand learning concepts and theory's behind lift devices, why the stall pattern looks a certain way, boundary layers...blah blah blah ext...

but i cant stand endless chugging away with equations!

but i guess your right, i could appreciate it when I'm in the
"real world earning a living with aerodynamics"

only a few more years.....
