Finally put up shop lights

I don't know what took me so long. Just lazy I guess. Now I have to buy a better digital camera. These pics don't do the cars justice. Why does the lighting appear yellow? Anyone else have pics of their car under flourescent lighting?

your camera might have a setting to fix the color in the flourescent lighting. I love the color of your cars anyway, though.

Lights? Lets get to the REAL question. Why does the wife get the 3.2?

She drives the 3.2 more because it's fully loaded and because she hates the 915 tranny. She knows that we bought both cars for me though.

Copper brown for the SC and cassis red for the Carrera are nice colors. Not too common, I don't think. Thanks for the compliment, BT.

Your digital camera may have a "white balance" setting. This is used to adjust for different color lighting. I have a Canon which has a specific flourescent setting.

I too can't wait to get work lights into my garage. I first need to do a little structural work in there before hanging anything else from the ceiling though!!

Not only do have a heck of a lot of lights, all your walls and ceiling are painted white! Isn't your floor white/black tiles?

You could do with about 10 more bulbs.

Looks great! Nice and bright. Are those four foot fixtures? Can I get that bright with three two bulb four foot lights with higher watt bulbs in a two car garage?

That doesn't work with flourescents.

Yes, they are four footers.

As to 'can you get that bright' it's a function of the size of the space, and the height of your ceiling. The top of mine is 13 1/2" high. In my 'normal' garage (which used to fuction as my shop), I have a 8' t-bar ceiling 7 4' recessed fixtures, and it wasn't as bright as the new shop, partly because the acoustic celing tiles sucked up a lot of the light.

That looks nice Thom.
Don't you have a ratty extension cord with a droplight on your carport right now?
