Porsche factory alarms, and rewiring cars

I have a thead in the 944 forum (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-924-944-968-technical-forum/269980-wiring-solutions-early-944s-924s-post2451887.html#post2451887) where I'm stripping all of the crap electronics out of my car. Earlier this evening, I tore out the factory radar detector and cellphone system. It also has the factory alarm, for which almost nobody seems to know anything about.

Is the alarm in my car the same that is used in the 80's 911s? If so, removing it from my car should be the same as it was for you guys, right?

Any ideas about how I should go about this?

There is a big difference between "factory' which means installed when the car was built and "added on by someone who should never be allowed to work on cars" like the cell phone and other stuff you are dealing with. If it's not in the (Porsche) factory wiring diagrams then it's added on after the car was delivered to the dealer.

And that stuff is always a problem.
