Another friend with cancer...
You know, I wish someone would get a good cure for this figured out already. I'm tired of losing people that seemed perfectly healthly a few months before this crap.
This is personal friend of mine, and it's made worse by the fact that I lost a very good friend a few years ago when she was 21 and my Grandfather recently from cancer as well. I also know some people that have gone through it and made it out, so that's how I'm hoping this turns out. Sickens me to see people in their 20s getting this sick. I'm posting a link to a site some friends set up in case anyone wants to leave well-wishes. The money for the donate links isn't coming to me, I'm not running the collection or anything, just trying to help out the friends that have been taking the lead in helping out since we found out. (Just a disclaimer) Please just stop by and leave a nice note if you get the chance, I'm sure it'll help keep him in good spirits, even if it is people he doesn't know. http://www.bullfightermusic.com/donate/

Just heard that Dana Reeve, wife if Chris Reeve, passed away last night from lung cancer. She never smoked and that makes this even worse.
Makes you want to live each day like it was your last...

I know, I saw that too. Really a strange situation.
I think there are probably lots of causes that we just don't know about yet. It seems like only 10 years ago, I heard about it a lot, but never knew anyone with it, and now it seems to hit a couple friends per year, some harder than others.

It seems like it does hit close to home.....I have 2 friends that have reciently been diagnosed.......then me. We are all going through treatment. Keeping eachothers hopes up. And rekindling old friendships, all are important. Keep in touch with those, they will appreciate it. Give them all the suport that you can.
Thanks Tim

My neighbor across the street passed away a few months ago from lung cancer. He was in his 50's and smoked like a chimney.
My Aunt and uncle both died of smoking in their 50's a few years ago. ALL of their children smoke. I cannot understand how they can smoke after loosing both their parents to it. I lost a cousin to breast cancer (of all things) she felt a lump and got scared and never told anyone. She was in her 20's and beautiful. It would be awesome if a cure could be found. Its sad that we are not even close to a cure.

Some say DHMO, or Dihydrogen Monoxide is to blame for most of it. It's everywhere, it's in everything, tastless and odorless.
Try fixing it.......................the problem is too large for me to even get my mind around. http://www.dhmo.org/

I just came back from dropping in on an ald friend/fellow car nut who lives about 30 miles away. He has been a widower for 5 weeks, now. He quit smoking when he was in his 20s. His wife stopped in January. He's having a rough time learning to live without his best friend of 53 years. Glad I dropped in.
Stay close to your friends. Les
