maybe you could use a column that figures out their age based upon their birthdate, and then when you plug in a date, you can use the 'count if' function on all the ones below 60??

The second one I sent you gives their rank (x of y). I figure everyone knows when they time out?

Or do you want me to limit the list only to active pilots as of the offset date?

Edit: Now it indicates if the pilot is retired, and it already only counted active pilots. However I think the attrition factor is wrong...

you dont have to do the attrition factor, because thats a variable that changes every year. No way to predict who leaves before they retire. Based on part years, we lose about 75 a year, or 3%ish... Thats where that number came from.
