Don't laugh - Need help with a Davis P32
I do not want to get into a debate about the goodness of this pistol, I just want to help someone clean and lube one, making it as good as it can be. It's not mine, but the person will not be able to get anything else.
Does anyone have a diagram or a link or info on how to remove the slide from this bad boy? It is not obvious from the pistol how to break it down for a cleaning. Unloaded, a gun is just a complicated paperweight! |
If its like my 22s and the Jennings, there is a tab at the back of the slide. Push it in with a pen/chopstick/etc and it disengages the hook and you can lift it up, much like the cover of an AK47.
Failing that, post over on forums.gunbroker.com |
Thanks!

Boy are these things are, uhhh, crude. I hope the owner never actually needs it! Thanks again.

Thanks for the idea Red Beard!
Perhaps I will take the firing pin out of my Jennings and use it as a paperweight. Seriously these things are a curse, no reputable gun or pawn shop will even look at the thing. Unfortunately the police here have not done a gun buyback in years. :( |
