Camping at Laguna Seca ?
I want to take the camper to Laguna Seca this year.It may be too late for the Sports Car Invitational ( May 5-7 ).I'll try to make a reservation on Monday. Anyone have experience camping there ?If so, what advise do you have? Best area if there is a choice? Should I expect it to be rowdy like I imagine a NASCAR infield? Thanks,
Don

Not sure I can be much help, but I camped there about 15 years ago at the Monterey Historic Races. I couldn't recommend any area over another, but therer wasn't any rowdiness that I can remember. They do (or at least did) have shower areas where you camp.

It has been a long time for me also, let's just say Freddy Spenser crashed while qualifying.
We had a great spot on a hill top back by the corkscrew, you could see about two thirds of the track, the pits, and the army base on the other side of the hill, the corkscrew was also a short walk from there.

I camped at the Corkscrew View Campground 3 years ago for the ALMS weekend. The area I was in was mostly tents and it was fantastic and hot showers were 200 ft away. I meet alot of nice folks and have nothing but great memories. I did not experience any rowdy behavior.
Go for it! Dave |
