Hmm... shot in the chest, huh? The kid was facing him. Probably being the same smart-a$$ punk he had always been. He must have seen the gun; it's pretty damn hard to hide a shotgun. I can see it all now:

"Fuch you. Whaddaya gonna do, shoot me?"

My favorite question is: "Are you a fugitive from justice?" how stupid would you be to answer yes?

Targa, you'd be amazed. Here in VA, when your background check comes back with warrants or you're getting turned down, they don't tell you NO. They say "Just a few more minutes.", lock the store down and the police come to arrest you for even attempting to purchase a gun when you're ineligible. And I've heard of plenty of stories where convicted felons, yes, even fugitives tried to buy guns in stores. All candidates for the Darwin Awards.
