Shoulder snaps or back snaps?

We've been asked to size the Vintage Travel line down to infant/toddler and we're splitting the design motif into girls and boys: girls get hotels, boys get airlines.

There seems to be some discrepancy between what snaps go on what sex. It looks like boys get shoulder, girls get back, but it's not hard and fast.

As buyers of baby - toddler T-shirts, which do you like better? Shoulder or back?

Also doing a long sleeve waffle thermal to go under a burned out version that should really rock.

I prefer front snaps....wait, what was the question? ;)

I dont buy them, but I do have to put them on the kid, onesies that is. Is this what you are talking about? If so, I prefer the shoulder style myself.

I like the shoulder snaps, also. Easier to snap/ unsnap no matter what position they are in (usually squirming into all positions simultaneously).

I seem to remember that the shoulder snaps always seemed to bother my lil girl when she rode in her car seat. My lil guy didn't seem to care.

The side snaps would take away from the design line...wow, how gay does that sound?

dhoward 03-21-2006 06:42 PM

Very.
But you are the Lubemaster!
:)
Since I just found out I'm going to be a grandfather, I guess I'm going to start caring again....
:)

Crotch snaps only on either sex. It's about changing the kid without fully disrobing. Trust me, I've raised three.

dhoward 03-21-2006 06:51 PM

Excellent point. I almost forgot....

Zonas is 100% correct.

And NEVER buy cloth diapers. Unless you use them to polish your Fuchs.

dhoward 03-21-2006 07:04 PM

I can't even find cloth diapers. I looked for them to use to polish guitars. Nowhere. My ex-wife and I thought a diaper service was a good idea 21 years ago with our first.
Bad idea.
The smell is indescribable....

Crotch snaps.

Cloth diapers are my treehugging wife's friend. She calculates she's saved 1300 disposable diapers so far and the little bugger's only 4 months old.

ZOA NOM 03-21-2006 08:03 PM

4 months? I'll give you 8 more, and you'll be in plastic, or divorced.

Thats a diaper every 2.2 hours of the kids life.
This will be in the back of mind if i never have a condom handy.

We use plastic for "going out". Around the house it's cloth. At day one I put my foot down and told her that she does the changing/cleanup when he's in the cloth.

On the other hand we've saved a few bucks, too.

It's probably more like every 2.0 hours...sometimes he'll wet himself, scream bloody murder till we change him, then take a dump 15 minutes later. And we still use plastic when we're not at home.

Keep Lil' Porschephile944 in his home if a condom isn't handy. Trust me.

Thanks everyone, shoulder snaps it is. Dropped off materials yesterday to our new cut&sew in NYC, should have miniature versions (12 designs, 6 colors) this Friday. these will be just T-shirts, not onesies. We'll have basic T's, T's with waffle thermal long sleeves stitched in and waffle thermal long sleeve shirts so parents can mix and match according to weather. Sizing will most likely be 6-9 months, 12 months, 18, 2T up to 5T.
