No Tweeks FunFest this year
-From the website:
Due to the lack of participation in previous years, Mid America Motorworks has regretfully made the decision not to host Funfest for Porsche in 2006. We sincerely regret any inconvenience to those planning to attend this year. Please consider joining us for our Spring and Fall Swapfests, to be held on April 1 and October 14, 2006. Click here for more information. I participated every year! Last year was bad because it rained but I was still there. I guess the turnout wasn't big enough for them. |

The Porsche meet is always smaller than the VW and Corvette meets which draw 1000 + cars. I guess they decided that it wasn't worth spending the money when they only attract 300-400 cars. That's fine with me as it always conflicts with the European car show in St. Louis.

I was there last year. I had a blast. I think they're killing the whole Porsche line. (See the thread in the Great Lakes forum for more details.)
Their inventory isn't 1/4 of what it was 3 months ago. They had a massive clearance sale last month. I just got a post card from them on Saturday that said "Buy now before it's too late." Too late for what?
